Ever since I was a kid, I couldn’t wait for lunch or dinner to be over so that we could get to the best part, DESSERT! — well I may be a grown up, but that thought still lingers in the back of my mind….Why have a meal when you can have dessert? Here are 6 of the top recipes we have found in our archives which we believe should be shared with everyone.
Chocolate Covered Coconut Candy Bar Smoothie with Bananas
This recipe will create a sweet and refreshing treat, similar to a chocolate banana split. Add one heaping scoop of BSN Lean Dessert Protein (Chocolate Covered Coconut Candy Bar flavor) to 4 ounces of non-fat milk, and mix together. Pour into a blender with approximately 1/4 cup of non-fat, or low fat yogurt. Banana flavored yogurt would be ideal. Add in approximately 1/4 cup of mashed, very fresh bananas. You can freeze the fruit ahead of time for a thicker shake! Vary the amount of fruit used to suit your taste. Blend until shake has reached a smooth consistency, and enjoy!

Banana Nut Bread Smoothie with Cranberries and Walnuts
This recipe will create a uniquely satisfying smoothie, with a fun and fruity twist on your favorite flavor. Add one heaping scoop of BSN Lean Dessert Protein in Banana Nut Bread flavor to 4 ounces of non-fat milk, and mix together. Pour into a blender with approximately 1/4 cup of non-fat, or low fat yogurt. Add in approximately 1/4 cup of fresh cranberries. Freeze the fruit ahead of time for a thicker shake. You can adjust the amount of fruit used to suit your taste. Add about a tablespoon of chopped walnuts. Any more than that will make your blend taste too bland. Blend until the shake has reached a smooth consistency, and enjoy!
Fresh Cinnamon Roll Smoothie with Applesauce and Raisins
Applesauce and raisins add a special kick to this smoothie. Add one heaping scoop of Fresh Cinnamon Roll BSN Lean Dessert Protein into 4 ounces of cold, non-fat milk and mix together. Pour into a blender with approximately 1/4 cup of non-fat, or low fat yogurt. Add in approximately 1/4 cup of applesauce, and a pinch of cinnamon (to taste). Blend until shake has reached a smooth consistency. Top with a tablespoon of raisins.
Banana Cream Pudding with Peaches
Sweet and savory peaches really make this shake a satisfying treat. Add one heaping scoop of BSN Lean Dessert Protein in Banana Cream Pudding flavor to 4 ounces of non-fat milk, and mix together. Pour your mixture into a blender with about 1/4 cup of non-fat, or low fat banana flavored or beach flavored yogurt. Add in about 1/4 cup of peach slices. You can freeze the fruit ahead of time for a thicker shake (highly recommend for this shake.) As usual, vary the amount of fruit used to suit your taste. Blend well until your shake has reached a smooth consistency. To top it off, you can even sprinkle a few nuts on the top, or a few slices of banana as an extra treat.
Chocolate Fudge Pudding Smoothie with Oats and Strawberries
When you combine the taste of strawberries and chocolate, you create an enjoyable and delicious flavored smoothie. Add one heaping scoop of Chocolate Fudge Pudding BSN Lean Dessert Protein to 4 ounces of non-fat milk, and mix together. Pour into a blender with approximately 1/4 cup of non-fat, or low fat yogurt. Add in approximately 1/4 cup of very fresh strawberries. You can substitute raspberries for strawberries if you prefer the taste of chocolate with raspberries instead of chocolate and strawberries. Blend well and top with a teaspoon of oats for a unique texture.
Whipped Vanilla Cream Smoothie with Mango
For a great tasting fruity smoothie, add a little mango! Add one heaping scoop of BSN Lean Dessert Protein in Whipped Vanilla Cream flavor to 4 ounces of non-fat milk, and mix together. Pour your mixture into a blender with about 1/4 cup of non-fat, or low fat yogurt. Add in approximately 1/4 cup of fresh mango, cut up into chunks. Add more or less mango depending on your preference. If you want more of a mango taste, add more. For just a hint of mango, add about 1/8th of a cup of mango or just two or three small chunks. As usual, blend until smooth. Enjoy!
